Library Connection documentary is about the co-operation between Vantaa and Windhoek which resulted in establishing the Greenwell Matongo Community Library.
The services were developed according to the needs of the community and the response has been extremely positive. The core of the services is children and youth and teaching IT-skills at grassroot level. Vantaa and Windhoek have created a basis for building a modern library network in Namibia and the results have been excellent.
Library professionals from Espoo, Helsinki and Vantaa have co-operated with colleagues in Namibia to answer the specific needs of the community. The project is ending at the end of 2014 and it’s time to review the effects.
