Sinikka Sipilä, Secretary General of the Finnish Library Association is interviewed by Tuula Haavisto, Director of Libraries in the City of Tampere. They discuss on Sinikka Sipilä’s experiences in the library field and in IFLA. Sinikka Sipilä has been Member of IFLA Govening Board since 2007, SC Member and Chair of Management of Library Associations Section since 2003 and active in the UN World Summit of the Information Society (WSIS) 2003-2005. Also Tuula Haavisto has been active in IFLA since the 80’s: in FAIFE, CLM, Public Library Section and Round Table for the Management of Library Associations, as well as in the UN WSIS.
