Mr John Helling has lived in Finland for 5 months as a Fulbright Scholar studying the national public library policy of Finland. He has experience at both large urban and smaller rural libraries; the New York Public Library and Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County Public Library in Indiana respectively. After giving a presentation for the American Resource Center, he told Kirjastokaista about his research and his impressions about the Finnish public library system.
