AVI – guiding and supporting public libraries

Live-stream recording from the “LIBRARY. I LOVE IT!” -seminar, 27th August 2014 in Iisalmi, Finland. Eeva Hiltunen, AVI Eastern Finland, and Taina Pirhonen, AVI Southern Finland, tell about “regional state administrative agencies: guiding and supporting public libraries”.

The project “LIBRARY. I LOVE IT!” involves eight municipal libraries from Austria, Croatia, Finland, Italy, Poland, Spain, the Czech Republic and Turkey. The focus of the project is to expose the role of contemporary libraries in the life of local European communities as vital centers of lifelong learning. Its aim is the development and acquirement of competencies by the participants, which will promote personal, social and professional growth.
